The Silverado’s interior story has changed more in the last three model years than in the prior decade. The 2026 truck pairs the largest factory infotainment in the segment with Super Cruise hands-free driving and the broadest cab and bed combinations Chevy has ever sold. Here is how it all fits together for Oak Lawn buyers.

The infotainment system

From the LT trim and up, the Silverado uses a 13.4-inch center touchscreen and a 12.3-inch reconfigurable driver display. Google built-in includes Google Maps, Google Assistant voice control, and Google Play app downloads directly to the truck. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.

The screens are the highest-resolution Chevy has shipped, and the Google integration genuinely reduces phone dependency on the daily commute. A single Google account follows the driver across multiple GM vehicles.

Super Cruise hands-free driving

Super Cruise is GM’s hands-free driver assistance system. It works on more than 750,000 miles of mapped North American highways, including I-294, I-355, I-55, I-80, and most major Chicago-area interstates. It is available on LT and higher trims and standard on High Country. The system uses lidar-mapped road data, eye-tracking, and lane-change assist to handle steady-state highway driving while the driver watches the road.

For Oak Lawn drivers commuting to the Loop, to the south suburbs, or out to Indiana, Super Cruise is the highest-impact tech feature on the truck. Most LTZ and High Country buyers at our store report they use it daily.

Cabin configurations: cab, bed, and trim packaging

Crew Cab Short Bed is the most popular Oak Lawn configuration. It balances rear-seat passenger space, parking ease in suburban lots, and a bed long enough for sheets of plywood with the tailgate down.

Seating, materials, and storage

Cloth bench and 40/20/40 split bench on WT, Custom, and LT base builds; cloth bucket seats on RST; perforated leather on LTZ; premium leather on High Country. Front bucket seats add a center console with the largest factory storage in the segment, including a deep bin sized for hanging files.

Rear seats fold flat on Crew Cab models for tools, dog crates, and luggage. The tailgate offers the available Multi-Flex configuration with up to six functions, including a load stop and an inner step.

Audio and connectivity

LTZ and High Country add the 10-speaker Bose premium audio system. Lower trims use a six-speaker setup. Both include OnStar connectivity with the available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot supporting up to seven devices. Wireless phone charging is standard from LT.

Driver assistance beyond Super Cruise

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup and includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, front pedestrian braking, IntelliBeam auto high beams, and following distance indicator. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control, blind zone steering assist, rear pedestrian alert, and head-up display.
