Why Oak Lawn Rides Too

Webb Chevy Oak Lawn has served the south Chicago community since 2000. Ride for the Troops is a Webb Auto Group event, which means our Oak Lawn customers, friends, and families are every bit a part of it. Whether you ride the 10-mile family route, take on the 20-mile advanced course, bring a classic Chevy to the new car show, or simply donate from home, you’re part of how we hit our $50,000 goal for USO of Illinois.

Year five is co-presented with TREK Bicycle of Naperville and Downers Grove and benefits USO of Illinois.

Schedule of Events

  • 9:30 a.m. — Registration opens for riders and Classic Chevy Car Show participants
  • 10:30 a.m. — Ride kickoff (10-mile and 20-mile routes)
  • 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. — Classic Chevy Car Show, live music, food, and family activities open to the public
  • 11:30 a.m. (approx.) — Riders return for food, raffles, and community activities
  • 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. — Raffle drawings and Classic Chevy Car Show awards presentation

Classic Chevy Car Show

Bring your Chevy. Classic Corvette, lifted Silverado, Camaro, daily Equinox — every Chevrolet is welcome.

  • Entry Fee: $25 per vehicle (benefits USO of Illinois)
  • Check-In: 9:30 a.m. at Webb Chevy Plainfield
  • Display: 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Awards: 1:30 – 2:00 p.m.

Post-ride festivities include live music from School of Rock Geneva, food trucks from Windy City Burgers and Eliza’s Angels Coffee Truck, and raffles featuring a Trek bike and a Cooper’s Hawk Winery gift basket.

How to Register or Donate

Rider registration is $30 and includes the ride, snacks, music, and post-ride festivities. Raffle tickets are $25. Classic Chevy Car Show entry is $25 per vehicle. You don’t have to ride to donate — every dollar helps us reach our $50,000 goal for USO of Illinois.
